A wide, flat brimmed hat made of floor-length pieces of string in various shades of blues. A pair of blue elbow length gloves protrude from the hat, but the wearer cannot be seen.

Created in response to the feeling of being overwhelmed, an emotion commonly experienced by autistic people, this performance piece features a hat made of floor-length stretches of yarn. The hat completely covers my body when worn, yet still allows me to see out. I can choose to mask or interact with people if I want, but if not I can conceal myself in the hat. This also allows me to eliminate the perception of my gender.
