CAUGHT ME IN ITS SPOTLIGHT

Performance. Leather and fringe wearable. (2022)

A leather-masked alien dances in black fringe on a pink gogo box. They wear bright yellow boots and harnesses made of pink, yellow, blue and green leather. They have a black leather cap on and behind them are draped fabrics in yellow, blue, pink and green as well as dangling chains.

SIGHTINGS

Linking together the way music made me feel as a child with the freedom and safety I felt when first experiencing the gay club scene, I dance on a go-go box in a handmade costume, sharing music from my formative years and songs of importance to my queer, disabled identity.
